A Little About Me…

Hi, my name is Alfi Alvarez, CSA, LSA and I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m originally from Indonesia, I moved to the United States at a young age and have made Virginia my home, where I live with my husband, our three children, and two doodle-mix dogs.

My passion for the operating room began in 2014, when I earned my Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology from ECPI University. I started my career that same year as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), then spent three years traveling across the DMV region, gaining hands-on experience in hospitals of every level and numerous ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).

Along the way, I worked within respected health systems including HCA, INOVA, Johns Hopkins, MedStar, Sentara, and VHC. That exposure to a wide range of surgeons and OR environments taught me to assist with the same procedure in different ways, adapting quickly to technique, preference, and workflow while delivering consistent, high-level support.

In 2021, I advanced my training at Madisonville and became a Certified Surgical Assistant (NCCSA). It was through this work that I found my strongest passion and expertise: Orthopedics and Spine, with additional experience in Plastics/Reconstruction and Robotic procedures (Mako, Xi, and DV5).

Today, as owner and provider of AGI Surgical Services, LLC, I bring consistency, anticipation, and adaptability to every case. I understand surgical rhythm, stay calm under pressure, and work to make every OR day run smoother from first incision to final closure.
